Kangaroo Island Spirits is playing
its part in ensuring that Kangaroo Island offers visitors
a unique taste experience.
This award winning business is South Australia’s
only boutique distillery producing a range of high quality
liqueurs and spirits, including some made from native ingredients.
Partners Jon and Sarah Lark began business in December 2006,
making a popular lime liqueur. Since then their range has
grown to now include 6 liqueurs.
Products on the development list include a premium gin
incorporating a native Juniper,( due to be launched April
2009). All the Spirits are handmade on site in small batches
using copper pot stills and traditional compounding methods.
Good Food Kangaroo Island is an industry group
formed to encourage and support value adding producers and
protect the integrity of the Island’s produce. Regional
food groups have been established throughout South Australia
and are actively working with producers to establish regional
branding and long term relationships with major retailers
seeking access to high quality, branded products.
